Year after year, Apple proves to the world it can repeatedly innovate and make products that ‘wow’ even the grumpiest of skeptics. The Apple X is no exception. It’s hot.
Apple is going to ask $1000 for this VR-ready, work of art; it will undoubtedly sell-out. Apple has always been one part quality and one part status prop. That’s why millions of users will NEED this stainless steel, edge-to-edge beauty.
- The new OLED screen is ridiculous.
- The new camera and added filters are stunning (that portrait setting, though. Wow).
- Wireless charging with face recognition. Yup. Fantastic.
Although I’m an Android fella (Pixel XL), my wife will have one of these and it’ll likely be a Christmas present.. shhh 😉
From a trading standpoint, I still think Apple is a good buy-and-hold stock. In typical fashion, Apple sold off a little today on the news, but the keynote was healthy enough to carry it into the holiday season and beyond. For now, I want to watch how the rest of the week plays out before I add to my position. AAPL has pretty good support at ~$156 and may offer a buying opportunity for those willing to wait for it.
Besides Apple, some of its suppliers are worth watching for possible trades:
ADI, AMAT, AVGO, IDTI, QRVO, MU, LITE, FNSR, TXN, OLED, GLW
Side note – I was super disappointed in the lack of discussion today regarding smart home tech. Hmm. Waiting for it.
